As of 04/17/2013 Assistant chief Jon Wood has stepped up as the new chief of Stony Point. Founding chief Ted Armentrout has stepped down to active life member; thou he is no longer the chief of Stony Point he will still continue to respond to emergency calls. Chief Armentrout was the founding chief of Stony Point in 1974. Not only has he protected and provided an essential service to the community members of Stony Point, but also has served as an essential leader and guide for the station for over 30 years. On behalf of all of the brigade we would like to thank Chief Armentrout for his dedication and leadership. Without it the station would not be the high quality, dedicated Fire and EMS provider it is today.

After weeks of solid work Brush 63 has almost been totally repaired. The truck was taken out of service back in the fall because of a blown engine along with some electrical and brake problems. Thanks to the effort of some of our members the truck will be back in service shortly.

As of March 4, 2013
New Engine 61 is officially in service and ready to run emergency calls.

February 9, 2013
Fred Mills, a Pierce representative came up to the station to deliver a training seminar on new Engine 61. The first part of the training lesson included a classroom section in which a brief overview of the truck and its features were given. For the second part all Driver/Pump operators practiced drafting and pumping the truck. To see pictures of the training click HERE
