| Our vision is to be the best combination fire station, in a rural setting, in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
We strive to keep our station staffed 24x7 with well trained and motivated firefighters and EMTs. We desire to provide outstanding customer service to all who call us for assistance. We also seek to provide our members with a comfortable physical enviroment and a training-oriented culture.
It is our goal to have a wide range of community members actively engaged in all levels of the organization and we also welcome participation by those who live outside the Stony Point first due.
Beyond our current renovation project, we want to build a community room on the front of the station to better support training activities and community use. We also envision a small dormitory building so that certain members, especially college students, can actually live at the station following a model program that has been sucessfully adopted in Maryland. We also hope to develop a scholarship program to further support our volunteer scholars.
Last but not least, we hope to more fully develop our 8 acres to better facilitate our staffing needs (like the dorm) and support more training.
The volunteer fire service has an exciting future at Stony Point!
