Community Safety Ideas that Stony Point Supports
  1. Sprinklers save lives.  Stony Point would support a county ordinance that would require all new residential buildings to be sprinklered.
  2. Stony Point Elementary School is not connected to the county water system and therefore does not have an adequate water supply for sustained firefighting operations.  Stony Point Volunteer Fire Company encourages the County of Albemarle to install a suitable underground water tank (cistern) at each public school that is not sprinklered and not connected to the county water system.   A cistern is cheap insurance.
